Military Package Drive
Young Americans for Freedom at Michigan Tech thanks you for your generosity supporting their 2nd annual military care package drive. On December 3rd, 68 12"x12"x6" packages, weighing a collective 545 pounds, and containing around 374 letters, were shipped to service members stateside and overseas. Our organization wanted to give special thanks to:
-
Superior Family Chiropractic, Matt’s Auto Body and Glass, Sunflower Books and Coffee, Pat's Foods, and Van Pelt and Opie Library for being community drop-off locations.
-
Walmart Houghton, Hubbell VFW, Chassell VFW & Auxiliary, and Suomis Restaurant, for their generous support.
Mr. Hauswirth & Hancock Middle School, Barkell Elementary School, Negaunee schools, Copper Island Academy, and St. Albert the Great Catholic Church for their plentiful donations and letters.
-
As well as the numerous other community organizations and members which helped spread the word and donate towards the cause. The 3rd annual military care package drive will be held next November, and we look forward to working with the community again.
Thank you for supporting our service members this holiday season!
Sincerely,
Abigail Leagjeld, Andrew Feys, and the YAF at Michigan Tech Students
